Studio One Photography
About
I have a permanent studio in Jackson that I work at most every day. I am available for customer service and am not a part-timer who wants to be a photographer. I am a photographer with 35 years of professional experience. I am also a PPA Master Photographer.
I love being able to create images that people will enjoy and have for a lifetime. Pictures have been de-values in our society with them being so prevalent. My images are valued and treasured for a lifetime.

What should I expect when I have Kurt Robertson of Studio One Photography photograph me? A true professional with years of experience and knowledge while also making every possible effort to make the most flattering portrait possible. Because Kurt prides himself off creating portraits that he would hang on his own wall, not just yours. Creative, professional, and most of all part of the human experience that we all travel through. Consequently, a camera is a time machine. However, it can only stop a moment in time.
Cameras don’t make great pictures, photographers make great pictures that you and your family can enjoy for many years.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Christmas photos with Santa at Studio One. It was a relaxed fun environment to photograph in with unique products to sell to my customers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
What are his/her qualifications? Anyone can claim to be a photographer. You should be cautious when hiring someone. Get someone who has experience and knows how to do the job. Hire someone how gets involved in the process and does not just show up, take pictures, and leave.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If it is an event, how long is it realistically? Where is the event? What do you want from photography for product? Do you want digital or prints or both?
For a portrait session what do you want as prints. If you are doing a family is it just the family or is it breakdowns of the family. IE Individual portraits of immediate families.
