Welcome to my photography world! I'm Dan Selvidge, a photographer based in Southwest Michigan with a lifelong passion for capturing the essence of the world around me. My journey with photography began when I got my first camera at the age of 12, and it has been a constant in my life ever since. Even during my 25-year career as a product development engineer, photography remained a vital part of who I am, a creative outlet that I’ve always nurtured and refined alongside my engineering work.

With a unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise, I bring a fresh perspective to every project I undertake. My background is a mix of art and engineering—I hold degrees in both Applied Art & Design and Mechanical Engineering. This combination allows me to approach photography with a balance of creativity and precision, ensuring that every shot is not only visually stunning but also thoughtfully crafted.

Before diving into my engineering career here in Michigan, I spent time in Los Angeles working in commercial photography. This experience honed my skills in capturing impactful images, whether it’s for advertising, portraits, or lifestyle photography. I pride myself on my ability to make every subject look their best, and I’m committed to creating images that resonate with my clients on a personal level.
