I've loved photography since I was 18 years old and began my professional career in 2010 (after retiring as a Victim Advocate for 20 years).
My passion is creating memories for clients using professionalism, humor and communication. We photograph weddings, engagement, senior pictures, family photos, special events, pets and sports.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After the first contact via telephone, Facebook or website, I meet clients in person to discuss what their event is, where it will be held and what their ideas and wishes are.
I then provide a contract, requiring a deposit (for weddings), and then proceed to shoot the photographs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
20+ years taking pictures for fun, 10 years professionally.

Pricing is dependent on type of photography.
How did you get started in this business?
My grandfather was always taking pictures of us as children and I loved the idea that I could look back many years later and relive a memory of an adventure or see family members that had passed away.
When I was 18, I purchased my first "real" camera, took it to California (without reading the manual) and had 1 photo turn out. It was of the world's largest fig tree and it was taken by a stranger trying to show me how to use it!
From that moment on, I was hooked and have been shooting ever since.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've been blessed to work with a wide variety of customers in my career. People from Cairo to Mexico, babies, cats/dogs/birds, special event parties, weddings, engagement and senior pictures, 5/10k races, basketball camps and sports.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently photographed a beautiful cat, Rocky, and it was amazing having him get to know me and actually sitting still, posing, for me. His human parents loved his pictures.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
- Check out the social media, websites/Facebook pages of professional you want to work with
- Ask for samples of their work
- Inquire to friends/family if they're familiar with the professional
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
- Do they allow outfit changes for senior pictures or modeling shots
- Are they willing to go to different locations
- Do they offer photo packages or do they provide the photos on USB or disc to order themselves.
- How many photographers will be used at their wedding and how much of the day will be photograped.
