How did you get started in this business?
I was the girl next door starting at 13 braiding and doing family hair. Also my mom was the beautician in the family when I was growing up.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All hair types. Predominantly African-American. I can do all hair types but because of the pain in my wrist, I had to stop round brushing. If Caucasian clients don't mind not getting round brushing I would definitely service them. I am great at what I do no matter what the hair type.

Make sure that she still has the passion for doing hair.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They have an idea of what they want.
