Creating a great image, film or video is all about people. I take great pride in my ability to work very well with people from all walks of life in a creative and proactive way to get the very best quality result that will turn heads, makes sales, get a good social push, and make you, your business, or your film look and feel its very best.
I have been working in Television, Film, and Photography for over 20 years and have worked on every type of project in the upper mid west.
I'm a three time Emmy winner and National Silver Telly winner for commercial spot production durning my time at KARE 11 News while working in their Creative Services department.
I don't just shoot commercials I make movies. I have tested my skills in competition several times in the Minneapolis 48 Hour Film Festival, winning first place twice and fourth place once. I took that work and turned it into an opportunity to work on a low budget independent film called Brother's Keeper for Winterstate Entertainment. During the shoot I had the opportunity to work with some incredible actors, Laurence Fishburne, Milo Gibson, Abigail Hawk, Glenn Moreshower, Carter Redwood, Acore White, Germain Arroyo, and Adrian Favela. As the Director of Brother's Keeper I have overseen the path of the story since day one and am currently working daily to finish editing the film.
Why do freelance? Now you're probably wondering why I continue to do freelance work if I have a feature film under my belt.

I just really enjoy working with great people! I'm a very outgoing, go with the flow type of person. I am very good at working with people of all ages and can bring myself down to a kids level and build report quickly to capture great photos with ease.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Consult: Work with my client to establish a clear vision for the project, budget, and outcomes.
Write: Work with the client or make a clear script or outline for the client's approval. Tweek it and get ready to shoot.
Pre-produce: Get all the ducks in a row to complete a perfect shoot. Hire crew, rent gear, scout and lock locations, do paper work, get releases signed. Cross the T's dot the i's.
Shoot: Use my pool of amazingly talented people to make the best images possible for your vision.
Post Production: Take all that hard work and cut it together with sound, graphics and effects to complete your vision.
Client Revisions: Client approved revisions will be executed before the project is called complete.

I have two degrees in Video and Film Production.
- A.A.S. Video Production Technology, Hennepin Technical College.
- B.S. Digital Film Production, The Art Institutes International Minneapolis.

Sitting Prices are $300 for a one hour sitting. This includes the editing and hosting of your photos on my Pixieset Gallery. Studio rentals or travel past 30 miles will be extra.
I choose all of your best photos and edit them so that you can get access to your photos FAST. I know that takes a lot of trust but I have built my career on making people like Laurence Fishburne, Julie Nelson, and Belinda Jensen look good. Don't worry. I got you.

How did you get started in this business?
When I was in fifth grade I did a science project where I studied the origins of photography and created a bunch of different images with my Dad's SLR. From that point on I was hooked and I have been making photos for people since I was 17. That puts me at over 20 years of experience. Sheesh... I'm getting old!
What types of customers have you worked with?
Everyone from high profile celebrities to cute little babies.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I just made photos for a huge family. My client was very worried that the weather would ruin the shoot. Despite the rain and the clouds I was able to capture senior photos for my clients nephew and get great shots of the entire family. The photos turned out great and the family was left talking about me after I had left and gone home. Was a super fun day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Make sure you get someone that is great with people and can get you smiling.
