How did you get started in this business?
I shot my first wedding client while in high school in 1983. As a trained journalist in both radio and tv broadcasting, I look and shoot images PJ style and Traditional by looking and observing those little moments that the couple may never know had happened. For studio portraiture, we primarily do both in studio and on location photography for families, children, model portfolios and high school seniors.

We have covered events from Indian and European cultures as well as standard traditional and short form events. Some of my favorite events are concerts and to capture the moments of a musicians performance really engergizes me. I also have a short list of celebrity clients I work with on a long term basis in both Los Angeles and New York.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Cairo Jazz Festival where several regional band and orchestras performed in Cairo, Illinois at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
First of all you have to hire someone who knows what they are doing, from lighting to posing if required. Someone who has taken years of experience in honing in those skills is more likely to be a fit for you and your family. On a wedding day, it is a must to hire someone who has shot hundreds of events.
