About
Hello,
Thank you for visiting my website
I'm born and raised in Mississippi, earned a Master in Healthcare Administration from Belhaven University, work at a hospital, husband, father, and enjoy producing photography for couples and individuals as an on-the-side venture in addition to my regular day job. Some other tidbits about me are that I'm a coffeeholic who likes hiking, spicy food, road cycling (completed my first 50-mile cycling event in 2022), lived in Spain for three months, and would like to retire somewhere in mountains.
In 2015, I started my photography venture by reaching out to local nonprofit organizations and volunteering to photoshoot events. Word-of-mouth about me eventually spread which led me into portrait photography, and referrals for portrait photography led me into booking wedding photography.
Some event venues around central Mississippi where I've provided wedding photography include The Barn at Bridlewood in Madison, Livingston Mercantile in Flora, The Cotton Market Venue in Florence, The Five Star Lodge and McClain Lodge in Brandon, the JSU e-Center and The Red Barn in Jackson, and Reservoir Pointe in Ridgeland.
Many photographers do a "what's in my bag" reveal, so I'll jump on that band wagon too. At pretty much every wedding you can expect to find in my bag: Nikon camera, 2.8 70-200mm lens, 1.4 50mm lens, 18-55mm lens, flashes, MagMod MagSphere, more spare SD cards and batteries than I'll ever need, and lots of NutriGrain bars!
Anytime you want to reach out, ask a question, meet for coffee, etc. send a secured message on the Contact page, and I'll respond quickly
Thanks for your time,
Mason Graves
