About this pro

CC Photography only got started because when I was a bride and tried to find a photographer, I discovered that we couldn't afford one. Not even the cheapest one, so I wanted to make sure no bride has to be forced to forego those memories, because even 15yrs later, it's still my biggest regret. Photography shouldn't break the bank, you should enjoy the presence of your photographer & you should be able to have all of your images without having to give up another arm and leg. My name is Cheryl, I'm the main photographer and owner, but for larger events I do have another photographer who just happens to also be my daughter. My son handles the tech stuff and edits the  videos when we do those.

I absolutely love what I do and strongly feel that when you want to get your pictures taken or an event covered, you should also end up with a fun and memorable experience along with great images to cherish those memories.

We are still a growing business that I hope will continue to grow. If you're looking for a gphotographer who takes great pictures and is very fun to work with that's also affordable, send us a message. We"d love to work with you and capture those memories.

Well, I have always loved taking pictures, capturing those special moments and using photos to tell a story. Yet, the biggest reward for me, personally, is meeting new wonderful people, experiencing new places and the memories made along the way. There is also the reward of relieving a person's stress over finances and sacrifices they may have been willing to make.

Cheryl was EXTREMELY pleasant to work with. I felt comfortable having her in my home and around my children. She is reasonably priced for the beautiful memories she created for my daughters 1st birthday photo session. She drove nearly 3 hours to take these pictures. I will hire her again for future milestones and events.

Cheryl did an awesome job covering our wedding! She was very warm, welcoming, and very good with people. She was able to capture all the important moments of our wedding that me and her discussed on the phone prior. She definitely made it very personal and intimate for us. Thank you Cheryl for all of your hard work! ❤️

I just want to say Cheryl is an absolute joy to work with! Not only did she shoot my wedding in High Point, she also came down to our honeymoon at the beach and took honeymoon pictures as well! Her rates are extremely affordable and she gets along great with the crowd. I highly recommend her and hope to use her again soon!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Once the quote is given (which incudes information on two choices and pricing), I will occassionally follow up. In order to be hired, I just ask for the email address, all important event/session information needed and then send a contract along with instructions for paying both deposit and final payment. I do require a non-refundable deposit that ranges from $20-$100, depending on job.

I would love to get brides that want to work closer with me ahead of the big day to make sure I know exactly what her vision is and work together to make it the best experience ever. I am, however, also used to just meeting everyone the day of and everything still works out fine. Just the more prep time able to be given, the better the results.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an AAS and BS degrees. I spent 4yrs doing broadcast journalism throughout high school. I have too many years (w/o telling my age) of customer service and sales experience. Photography has always been a hobby and dream and I feel I take after both my grandpa and dad. My dad had his own production business for years and I learned allot along the way. I am still learning and will always be, best way is through constructive criticism which I am always open to in a respectful way. Still learning the tricks of the trade as I go along with the technology involved with the editing process. I am an open book, believe in transparency and will answer whatever questions you may have.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My rates for sessions can start at $80 up to $300.

My rates for events/weddings/parties start at $150 and up.

All prices will depend on items below

**Depends on location (travel distance), how many hours and photographers needed and if prints, album, flash drive or other things are wanted.

**Event packages vary and can include bridal or engagement session, bridal shower, speacial tradition pre-events etc.

How did you get started in this business?

Photography has always been my passion. A way to show everyone else the beauty I see in the world through my lens. It has also always been a dream, just a dream I never thought could truly happen or be successful with. I started simply because I was tired of the low wage jobs that were available and with my kids being older, a friend pushed me to follow a dream and passion. I figured, the worse thing that could happen is that I fail and get some meet some awesome people along the way. Here it is, just 3yrs later and during a pandemic and I am still working. Not as much as before Covid19, but still blessed to be getting by. I look forward to all of the future customers/clients/friends I will get to meet along the way and truly hope I will continue to be blessed enough to still be doing this for years to come.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Know what you want, have a vision, have a budget and be forthcoming with that information to get the best service possible. Also, look at their work, ask to see an entire album of a recent event they did. I will be the first to say, not every picture I deliver is the best of the best, which is why most photographers don't give out all of the images. I choose to give all of the images because every photo session or event I do, there are memories created and moments that happen that aren't planned and can be candidly caught so I would rather give all of the images since those moments caught may not be the perfect pictures, so at least my customers have those memories and moments. After all, pictures are a fantastic way to tell a story or relive a day/event.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

If its for an event, key things we need from you are location, date needed, how many hours, possibly your budget and what you really want and care about to be included (prints, album, session, flash drive, etc). These are the basic things to have in order before price shopping or even asking for a quote. Then before hiring, check their work, talk to them on the phone to see if you even like the person. Ask about the process, from booking to payments, what to expect, what is the image turn around time, how you get your images and please, share your concerns. The only dumb questions are the ones we don't ask. And if the pro you are talking to doesn't like all the questions, they aren't the one for you.
