Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We begin with a detailed consultation to learn about the client and the ideas that they have for their experience. Followed by a Letter Of Intent then the contract. Sometimes, a cost free test session may be required to see which lighting works best with our clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my degree in fine art and more than 35 years of experience. I have mentors and attended workshops above my skill set, to hone my craft.
I enjoy when the client brings their true personality to a session and make the experience more about them, than the camera, that way we create the most remarkable memories.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
No, I don’t. Each clients needs are unique, therefore I have a minimum that I will enter into a contract with a potential client, and all services are based on the value the place on my services and the budget of the client.
How did you get started in this business?
Ironically, it just happened. Someone asked me “how much do you charge...?” And it was all that I needed to know that I could make money and a difference as a photographer, through other people’s experiences.
What types of customers have you worked with?
i have worked with publications, production companies, recording artists, every day people and politicians.
All were given my absolute top notch service, beyond their expectations.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A client had run out of money to pay for her daughters wedding photographer, I volunteered my services so that their families wouldn’t be without those precious moments that means the world to them all.
I worked as if they paid for every minute of my professional time and services.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell anyone, not to be distracted by all the “bells and whistles” but to pay attention to what experience that they are actually willing to place their value, time and money in.
The bottom line and end game results are as important, if not more, as the sales pitch.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
It is always important for a client to know the value and quality that they are looking for and that it meets their price point.
Allowing the client to develope their own package or accept ours to complete their experience.
