Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a discovery meeting so I can get a full understanding of the project. I like to walk them through my process for capturing photos and give recommendations based on what they want to see as a final set of images.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent over 15 years in the entertainment business working as a producer, videographer, and photographer. I spent a little over half of those years as the head of the digital video department.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My general rate is between $200 and $400 per hour, but I try to work with new customers to fit their budgets when my time allows for it.
How did you get started in this business?
I had to make a use case for the company that I worked with with to purchase a smaller form video camera (Canon 5D). In so doing, I purchased a used 5D to captured some video. Over the first year that I had the camera, I ended up capturing just about 5 minutes of video (for proof that the camera was a better tool than the company was using) but over 35,000 photos of BTS for the company and personal use. Every year that number went up. I decided to make a profession of it once I left the company and the skills I honed over the years have served me well.
