What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always do a thorough consultation pertaining to a 5-year hair a history as well as what their beauty vision and realistic beauty budget that coincides and includes any care that may come with their new color, smoothing treatment or style.
I don't leave any stone unturned - in assuring my my new client, and myself are both comfortable in what we are moving forward with immunization is key !

strip hair design stylist April Long has styled a host of
show business celebrities and fashion glamorati.
Over the last decade April has carved a niche in the
freelance world of celebrity styling as a top hair design
stylist. Amongst his celebrity clientele you will find
Golden Globe and Academy Award winners.
Along with her native Southern California graduate studies in cosmetology arts and
sciences, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design and Marketing. Long
has had multiple cosmetology licenses in California, Florida and Nevada and in April of
2012, was appointed by the Governor of Nevada, to sit on theNevada State Board of
Cosmetology.
She quickly became not only the go‐to‐hair design stylist in every town she conquered,
but appeared as the America On Line anchor for “Around Town” on the CBS, network
affiliate in Washington, D.C.,
In 2004, April took over the reins of her family owned professional beauty supply
corporation in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In 2006, April introduced hair tinsel to the world with her industry launch of
POPTINSEL. Today it hair tinsel designs are worn by celebrities, both national and
international: The Housewives Of Beverly Hills, Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, The
Trump International Miss Universe Competition, Vogue Italia, BBC – UK Network, M6
TV – French Network and most recently Australia's hottest runways.
In 2009, April introduced her talents to world of celebrity swag rooms with appearances
for the Golden Globes, SAG Awards and the Motion Picture Academy of Motion Picture
Arts and Sciences (The Oscars).
I feel fortunate to have so many wonderful colleagues in the beauty industry as
well as so many amazing clients.

My prices are hourly and simple to budget depending on the individuals need.
How did you get started in this business?
I have a legacy of family in the corporate beauty industry behind me. My grandparents opened the first full- service beauty supply distributorship in CA and NV - I have a long line of family on the Institute of manufacturing - distribution and creative marketing. I was the only family member to also work being the chair !
What types of customers have you worked with?
I am master in custom color correction and color transformations. I have a great compassion for all people and love to work with those who are as kind, mindful and live grateful life as I do.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Ask a ton of questions and communicate via phone and text. See if there is a connection - a stylist in your life should be seamless and honest.
