About
Hello. My name is Tracy Karas. I have been an licensed Officiant for several years. I was raised in an Episcopalian and Wiccan Family. Ihave always loved meeting people and getting to hear their stories and how they came together. I do not discriminate against anyone who wishes to be married. I believe that you love who you love and you never should be ashamed or afraid for that.
I do not charge for officiating locally.
Now if your getting married in say .. Hawaii..I'm willing to negotiate..

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to sit down one on one with the client and find out what their vision of their event is, their budget, what arrangements they already have. I have found that most brides usually have everything already done. They just need someone to run the show for them the day of their event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I come from a long line of caterers and chefs. I was introduced to event planning by my grand parents.
How did you get started in this business?
Over the years when i got back into planning and cooking. I realized that there are so many ways to have an event with out going broke. If you have an unlimited budget hey thats wonderful i can work wirh that.. But not every one can. When i got married in 2003 we paid for everything. I had everything i wanted flowers. Church, limo, dress ,venue, food, liquor, cake, favors , my flower girls dresses, Husband tux all for under5,000. It took a lot of work but it is possable.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with brides. Families. Co workers. My clients find me useuially by word of mouth
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I'm most proud of private fundraisers i have done. For a child batteling a blood disease, to a paramedic with brain cancer. Seeing the families and commuities and businesses respond and come together it's very satisfying
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Speak to several event planners because each one offeof something different .Some only help on the day of the wedding or event. When everything else is planned and they make sure that everything goes well the day off. Some do all the planning for you. You have to find the planner that is the right one for you and what you're looking for. If you're looking for more of a modest budget because you only have a few thousand dollars to spend you have to find someone that understands that. If you have an unlimited budget that's wonderful and I'm sure you'll find many event planners that prefer to work with clients thay have an unlimited budget. Sit down with them. talk to each one and base your decision on what they can offer you. If you have a planner that's on the same page with you then you know everything will go smoothly
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
They have to think about the cost of the planner is going to charge them most planners you're going to find charge between 10 and 15% of the total cost of the wedding. Come to an understanding of what you're theme is, what venue you're looking for, what your budget is, if there's any wiggle room in the budget, those to me are the most important along with what event planners going to charge you. What you expect of your event planner that is something you need to convey to them if you expect them to do 100% of the planning and you just I want the final say. Or if you have everything all planned and ready to go but on the day of the wedding you need someone there to run the show for you so you have no worries and you have no concerns. The last thing anyone needs is a bride having a meltdown because things are not going the way they should be.
