Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The typical process for working with new customers is a 15-20 minute in-salon discussion about the following:
Previous experiences at other salons
Why they decided to try someone new
What products they use for their hair
How often they visit the salon
What the current goals for their hair are
How long they have been maintaining their hair for
Just to name a few.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My experience goes back over 10 years of being a cosmetologist and 3 years of owning my own business.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Everything is a la carte at the salon.
I have a standard price for normal length hair and for extremely long hair, or hair that requires more attention due to damage the price is more than the standard price.
How did you get started in this business?
Like everyone else as a shampoo girl. I decided that I had a love for doing my friends' and family's' hair that I wanted to share that love with the world.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Do be patient
Do be honest
Do discuss a strategy
Do trust the professional recommendations
Do trust the process
Do not hire someone based solely on price
Do not buy cheap products for the maintenance
Do not ignore your maintenance schedule
Do not leave your stylist hanging
Do not try this at home
