About
My photography work is very dynamic and joyful. It is based in a classic, high end NYC editorial tradition of iconic, storytelling and graphc work. My lighting is impeccable and evocative. I am a creative problem solver. I can take a simple shape or object and inject it with a strong graphic sensability. I can take a beautiful object, accent it with the appropriate light quality and allow it's strengths to be highlighted.
I enjoy finding a particular view of an object or scene that creates an illustrative "story" of that object. I enjoy creating a feeling of authenticty, life, sponteneity and joyfullnes in my work. I look to find the particular qualities that define the object or scene. I strive to create iconic images and shapes that are memorable.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask some questions: What they are looking to do with the photography. What they want to show or emphasize. What they want it to look like. If they have an idea or concept. If they would like to brainstorm and collaborate on an idea or concept. Or would they like me to suggest some ideas or concepts. Then I give them an estimate for the shoot. I ask them to sign a shoot confirmation. If it's our first time working together I ask for a deposit before our shoot. Then I deliver the project to the clients satisfaction. I send an invoice that is due in 30 days.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Photography and Illustration at Pratt Institute art school in Brooklyn, NY. I have a BFA. I assisted NYC still life phtographers for 4 years. I then started my own studio in the heart of NYC and have been in business 30 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing system. I take into account the usage the client requests and how much time the shoot will take.
