For all of my portrait sessions - Senior, Family, Children & Engagement - we have a pre-session consultation. Its at that time I hear your vision for your photos, and plan out the details to make it happen.
Portait sessions also have the advantage of choosing their favorite images that will be fully edited via a proofing gallery. After all of the images are complete, every client has an in person viewing appointment were you can view your images not on a computer screen, but in your hand with me helping you choose products to round out your custom package.
For weddings, every couple starts out with the minium hours of coverage. From there we design your perfect wedding package to include just exactly what you want, this means how many high resolution digitals, gorgeous albums, and wall art to display in your home. Plus an engagement session is complimentary.
The most enjoyable part of all the hard work put in the creating a wonderful session, is simply the interaction between family members & couples having genuine moments, or seeing a high school senior on the edge of their next adventure.
Then after, when they see the beautiful images, their reactions and pure joy is completely worth it.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
With all my clients, after a simple chat we start off by meeting in person either at a local coffee house or some place close. This meeting is designed for us to get to know one another. We talk about what you envision for the session or wedding. I answer you questions. From the talk we have I can make the best suggestions to create your photos.
During the session, they'll be a combination of poses for traditional images plus prompts that create genuine reactions with candid moments.
All portrait clients will have access to a proofing gallery to choose their favorite images to be fully edited. And once those are done, a viewing appointment, usually in your home, takes place so you can create your own custom package.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
The best advise would be to hire a photographer who reflects your own personal style that you will want to see on your walls. Don't let your budget be the biggest factor in your decision factor, as you can really do get the quality you pay for. Do not be afraid to ask questions either.
