For more than 40 years, I have provided professional production, talent, and voice services for feature films, corporate video, commercials, radio theatre, audio books, and live events. I work with clients across the country and provide fast turnaround with great attention to detail and quality. I welcome the opportunity to discuss your project. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll talk about your project and what you need the result to be - who your audience is, what you need to convey, how you need to use it, desired format, and deadlines. Once hired, we will set a production schedule and get to work. I will work with you throughout the project and make adjustments as needed. I'm easy to work with and want to earn a long-term relationship.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After earning a degree in radio and television production from Ohio University, I have a successful 40 year career in performance for radio, television, live radio theatre, feature films, and corporate video, as well as directing, producing, and editing hundreds of audio/video/film projects including feature films, music videos, audiobooks, narrations, and syndicated radio programs. I am FAA certified to fly drones for business and have flown for commercials, promotional video, real estate, and inspections. I've taught at voice-over seminars in Oklahoma City and Dallas. I have delivered seminars for the Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters and the National Association of Broadcasters. I have also announced for arena productions of national conventions.
How did you get started in this business?
Since childhood, I've been a performer. I acted in school plays and community theatre. While studying radio and television production at Ohio University, I acted in a weekly radio comedy show, hosted morning radio, and produced a short film. My radio career started while in college and voice-overs and audio production went right along with it. Video production started shortly afterward as I've always had an eye for composition and camera movement. Studying film acting was next and I began to land roles in feature films, earning SAG eligibility. I decided long ago that I wanted to excel in all aspects of production on both sides of the camera/microphone. It's what I have always enjoyed doing.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with corporations, radio stations, advertising agencies, film producers, television stations, publishers, law firms, colleges, retail stores, and companies of all kinds.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Capturing aerial video for Peppers Ranch (Guthrie, Oklahoma) to help them produce a fundraising video. In just a few hours, we flew different segments of the property capturing awesome views and perspectives. They have used the footage for several projects since then and continue to rave about the results.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
For aerial video/photos, be sure to only look at FAA-certified remote pilots. Regulations require certification to fly for any business purpose. Certification means the operator is knowledgeable about the regulations, weather, safety, airspace classes, and waivers. It is the best way to assure safe, legal operations. We are FAA certified remote pilots.
For voiceovers, listen to the demos to see if the voice fits your project. Then ask about turnaround time and how revisions are handled. We know fast turnaround is important and revisions are sometimes necessary as your team reviews the scripts. We are happy to accommodate for a small production fee. We strive for perfection but admit to our humanity. Any errors we make are corrected free.
