About

I love helping my clients capture memories, put their best foot forward, or just have fun in front of the camera! I know getting portraits made can be nerve wracking, but it doesn't have to be. I especially love working with children, tweens, and teens. I have been behind a camera of some kind or another for 30 years, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I enjoy helping people capture a piece of their story by creating meaningful, fun, and expressive portraits. I work with families, kids/tweens, and high school seniors, as well as equestrians (my favorite!). Getting to know my clients and helping them feel great about their portrait experience is rewarding and a great honor.

Amy was very helpful through the whole process. The photo session was fun and relaxed. My six year old usually can’t focus for more than 15 minutes, but Amy was engaging and offered many breaks and activities for her so we got through the whole hour and a half with no meltdowns! With other photographers who just give digital images it was overwhelming for me to decide what to print and how to do it. The prints I did make weren’t the best, so I didn’t get many made. Amy walked me through the process, showing me what finished prints would look like in my home (so cool!) and ordered them for me. I highly recommend her start to finish approach. We got the best family portraits and great shots of my kids. The grandparents love them!

    Frequently asked questions

I meet with clients first (can be via Zoom these days!) to get a sense of what they want from our time together. We come up with a plan, including a general idea of prints and products they will want (if it is a portrait session). At the session itself, I schedule plenty of time to get the shots the client wants without feeling rushed. I like to take time to relax into the session. After the session, I'll present the best shots to the client and we'll put together a package of prints and products (for portraits) or selection of headshots.

I have been in photography since high school where I learned to shoot on film. I carried this over into filmmaking, where I honed my sense of composition and lighting. I am back in photography full time now.

Pricing depends on which services the client chooses. For portraits, there is a $185 session fee. Headshot packages start at $299.

I picked up a camera in grade school and didn't want to put it down since. In middle school, I learned how to print and develop my own photographs. In high school, I fell in live with the way I could tell stories with pictures. Today, I love helping my clients create images that will help tell their stories.

I have worked with families, children, high school seniors, equestrians, corporate professionals, creative professionals, and many more
