Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I confirm what exactly my clients are looking for to make sure my services are in line with it. From there explore options so on the day of the shoot I can capture according to their vision. And finally I keep my clients in the loop while I am in the editing process before delivery.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied graphic design so I have an eye for detail and composition. Have been a photographer for 10+ years shooting in a variety of situations so accustomed for anything that may arise.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
This varies from project to project. A simple one off headshot is vastly different from an all day corporate event.
How did you get started in this business?
Photography was always a hobby that I enjoyed. I was happy just shooting at various events on my own, but last few years have been getting requests from friends and family for photography work. Now I pursue it as a freelancer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
All kinds! Students wanting graduation photos. Models needing acting headshots. Non-profits seeking community service photography coverage. Corporations having holiday parties.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I covered a family surprise party. There was a hobby photographer in the family who normally took the photos but as this party was for his mother and obviously he wanted to be in the photos rather than taking them all day. So it was great being able to send off the photos with him in them for once.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Photography is an art. Just as there is some music you do not vibe with, there will be some photographers who's "style" is not quite what you are looking for. And that is neither one's fault. So discuss with your photographer what you are looking for to make sure their work aligns with your vision.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Why exactly are you looking for a professional photographer? How will these photos be used? Printed? If so what size? Is this for social media only?
