About
I have been in the entertainment business for over 40 years, both in front of and behind, a camera. I discovered photography by accident. I took a photo of a bridge and it was picked to be shown in a photography exhibition and it went from there. People who have seen my work say I have “the eye” for photography. I have shot a wide variety of topics : Architecture, Fashion, Head Shots, Nature, Concerts and Yearbook Photos are some of the assignments I have shot for customers. Examples of my work can be viewed on Instagram @FredKowaloPhotography
I like to create art. I like to give my customers a moment in Time that is captured just for them.

I was proud of the photos I shot at NYC Fashion Week 2020. I was told by a photographer, whom i consider to be one of the best in the business, that I "nailed it". He said my photos we amazing.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I am new, but i have 30+ Years as an amatuer photographer under my belt. I have pro equipment and i am eager to do the best job I can to make a name for myself. In one of my other jobs, my peers consider me one of the best in the world in my field, I intend to do the same quality of work in the photography world. I back up my work. I would suggest hiring someone with the eagerness to do good work and to make sure the customer gets what they want. If my name is associated with a project, it has to be my best work.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I am the kind of guy who thinks about everything and i try to plan for every scenario for any given shoot. My years of working on Hollywood Films and Television have prepared me on how to handle shoots. I try to be prepared for any questions the customer may have, From what to wear, locations, the estimated length of the shoot. These are all questions i like to go over with the customer before we shoot together. Also I like to field questions about the editing process... How many, who chooses the photos, what is the end look we are looking for. I like to be sure the customer gets exactly what they want.
