With over 20 years of event and project management experience, you can expect a diverse perspective and the ability to marry tradition with technology to make sure your event performs seamlessly and accomplishes the goals you desire. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When Blu Elefante has the pleasure of working with someone new, I usually like to start with a cup of coffee and a chat to really get a good sense of what the client is looking for, what their goals are for the event, and the scope of activities involved. Once we have a general game plan I follow up our conversation with a proposal with a few options for them to consider. Once we both agree on taking a leap together to make the vision a reality, I start getting to work on making all of the neccessary arraangements for the big day.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelor's in business administration with a focus in finance and marketing, along with a master's in project management. That, coupled with over 20 years of experience in the event planning, marketing, and fundraising fields , has enabled me to experience a vast array of events & styles, both corporate and private. I've helped plan and execute everything from fundraising galas, huge Oktoberfest celebrations, fashion shows, music festivals, private parties, weddings and family celebrations of all types.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Be sure that the planner you hire has extensive knowledge...and resources, to help secure the services and outcomes you desire for your event. Make sure they bring something to the table that is creative, offering some new ideas or possible sollutions, if desired, and not just ask you for a to-do list to complete. They should be able to negotiate contracts on your behalf to obtain the best pricing....and you should DEFINITELY feel comfortable on a personal level with them as you will be working closely and there needs to be trust between you.
