Hey y'all!

My name is Amy Lanning Porter and I have been taking pictures of mostly my kids and grandkids for over 25 years. I have just started pursuing my Photography Professionally for a little over a year. Just to help you get familiar with who is behind the Camera, I am a mom of 5 children one son and four daughters. I am also a MaAmy of 6 grandchildren. I have three granddaughters and three grandsons.
HOLY COW!! And we are still growing.
I absolutely Love meeting new and interesting people and families. It really inspires my creativity to see and hear of all the different and interesting photo ideas from each individual I meet. I am not just your traditional Photographer. I love the out of the box ideas and I believe if you can think it we can create it to make it happen. Or at least get close.
I want to be the one that helps you to capture that one special moment. The memories you just don't want to forget. Always trying to capture that connection between you and your loved ones.
I absolutely love to travel to new and exciting places. Capturing the moments and gifts Mother Nature provides us everyday. I get excited about New Ideas and New Experiences. There is no idea to crazy or over the top to at least try. So please feel free to send me your ideas even if you have been turned down by others you never know until you ask.
So this is me in a nutshell. I am very open, honest, I love to laugh and have a good time. But know when we need to be serious and get down to business. To get that Perfect Shot.
I enjoy the reaction I get when my customers view their finished photos. The smile I get or tears of joy are so heart warming. That is what I enjoy the most.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a New Client I always try to see things they way they want them done. When someone starts thinking about having New or Updated Photos. They have an idea in mind of what they want. That is what I try to make happen for that Client.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As a mother of 5 and Grandmother of 9 I have alot of experience with taking those hard to get and majorly difficult photos. Of the 5 children 4 of them are married. So I also have the experience of getting those special engagement and wedding photos. Just capturing the real you. I also believe that education is Key. So I do alot of training to perfect my skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I do not have a standard pricing. My pricing really depends on the situation and what you are looking for from your photographer.
How did you get started in this business?
After I got married in 2016 a lot of things changed in my life. I was already a very young mother and grandmother. I missed so many opportunities to capture special moments I wanted to cherrish. I decided that I was not going to let one more moment slip away. I wanted to make sure that I had photos of stage and special moment. That I was not able to do as my children were younger.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with multiple customers over the years. Just to name a few
1. Wedding
2. Bridal
3. Engagement
4. Elopement
5. Family
6. Newborn
7. Children (First year thru Senior and older)

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Just so happens that my Oldest Daughter gave birth to twin boys. I was not able to be there for the birth. But the photos that I have been able to do recently have been absolutely life changing.
Recently captured a proposal for a couple at Pretty Place Chapel. Amazingly Beautiful Couple. Unexpected moments are the absolute best.
Coming up I have a Waterfall Bridal Shoot. I can not wait to take these breathe taking photos.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Whoever you hire make sure that they capture what you want. Everyone has their own opinion. But in all actuallity the only opinion that maters is the customers. A photographer is there to give you guidance and advice. Not to take what you want and expect away from your special day or moments.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask all questions? Most important thing I can tell you.
