What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We analyze your hair and find out your end goals for your hair. We help you get to your hair goals the safe way while helping you achieve hair health. If its wedding, special event, or halloween hair or makeup all you have to do is bring an inspirational picture!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Cosmetology Liscense multiple extension certificates as well as hundreds of attended classes over the years.
How did you get started in this business?
I have an art background and love people so it was a no brainer! I wanted to work with my hands at a job where I never have to sit in one place.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Many of my customers are detailed type people who want a detailed cut or color that easy to style and maintain. They came in because they had a terrible cut or color that needs to be fixed or because they want an experienced artist for their wedding hair and makeup. Luxury services with trained artists. They came to find healing for damaged hair or they came to fix a problem or find a solution.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Halloween makeup is so much fun! We love doing weddings, film work, photoshoot hair and makeup. We love haircutting because we do hair sculpture on dry hair because that is the way hair is worn. It gives it more movement and texture as well and also has a better and longer grow out!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Hair is a lot more complicated with the color, chemicals, texture etc. and it takes time to get to know your hair. Undertones play into whether or not your dream color can be achieved in a safe manner. We keep notes on every formula so that way a color can be replicated lightened or adjusted. Wedding work we recommend doing your trial appointment on bridal portrait day or on a day where you can put your makeup look to use!
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
We like to see pictures of goals or inspiration for the client. Once we are on the same page we will give you our honest opinion on if it will look good, other options, health, safety, etc.
