What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been a photographer for 18 years. I have a minor in photography and a major in Environmental Science. I began photographing headshots for actors and portfolios for models. I ventured into weddings in 2005 and have been shooting 45 weddings a year ever since! I also do corporate lifestyle portraits, families, fashion, products and other events.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
My wedding rates are $2,250 for 7 hours on a Saturday, $2,000 for a Friday, and $1.500 for a Sunday-Thursday.
How did you get started in this business?
My early photography career began by shooting headshots for actors and model portfolios.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've photographed a variety of wedding cultures. Christian, (Catholic), Indian, (Parsi, Punjabi, and Sikh), Russian, Polish, Nigerian and Ugandan.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Before booking a photographer, review his website thoroughly. Make sure and look through entire weddings, not just the photographers favs. Meet or have a phone conversation to make sure you vibe with your photographer.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Let your photographer know what most important to you to be captured.
