About

I have been working as a freelance makeup artist since the summer of 2017. When I was younger I was such a tomboy and things such as makeup, hair, and fashion never interested me. In 2013, shortly after I got married, I started watching beauty YouTubers. Their talent, precision and dedication was so intriguing to me. As I watched their videos I began learning new tips and tricks to be able to do my own makeup better. I eventually began my own YouTube channel and started doing my own makeup tutorials. As time passed one of my previous coworkers was going to be a bridesmaid at her sisters wedding. She asked if I could do her makeup for her since she knew I did makeup tutorials on YouTube. I was scared at first because doing personal makeup and applying it on someone else is alot more challenging. I agreed to do her makeup and after that my passion changed from creating makeup tutorials to providing others that feeling of confidence! I am proud to say I have done over 38 different makeup looks since I began and have also had two of them published! I have extended my education and also received a certificate in makeup artistry. I strive for nothing but perfection and excellence in my work. This is my biggest passion and I have many lofty goals ahead of me as I continue with makeup artistry.

I love seeing the look on my client's faces when they see the final outcome. I love the challenge and creativity that each new look brings. Even if I've done the same style it's still different because every person's features are different. Makeup has always been an art form to me and I think it's so amazing to be able to use it to enhance features that are already beautiful on their own.

Frequently asked questions

I love to meet who I'm working with, if possible, and discuss their needs ahead of time. I also urge my new clients to consider doing a trial makeup beforehand so that they can let me know if there's anything that needs to be changed before the actual scheduled date. I require a signed agreement form between my client and I that discusses the time, location, date, etc.

I have a certificate of completion in my extended education of makeup artistry.

I have worked with alot of beautiful clients over the past 2 years. I have done prom, bridal, maternity and other creative, avant garde styles.

In October I collaborated with an incredible Fort Worth photographer and a model to create an Autumn themed shoot I had been wanting to do for quite some time. The photographer and model let me take the reigns and come up with the design as well as the wardrobe that should be used. I created a headband for the model to wear that had autumn colored flowers on it. The makeup was a vibrant orange/red to go with the "fall" aesthetic. The model was outstanding and I'm always pleased with the work that Larry (the photographer) does. It was such a wonderful and fun collaboration and the actual makeup itself turned out so beautiful!

My advice would be to look at their portfolio. See what type of aesthetics and styles they tend to be more comfortable with. If they have alot of heavy makeup on their clients in the portfolio pictures than more than likely they will have the same style when doing your makeup.

1. Do you have any allergies that you are aware of to cosmetics or any other products that could possibly be used in the process of doing your makeup?

2. Is there a particular look or inspiration that you had in mind for me to use? If not, do you want the look to be more bold or natural looking?

3. How would you describe your skin type? Normal (not too dry, not too oily), Oily, Dry, Combination (dry, but oily T-zone), or sensitive (gets red or burns easily)

4. What feature of your face would you like the most attention brought to?

5. Would you like a trial performed before the date listed above?
