How did you get started in this business?
This business was something I wanted to do for as long as I can remember. I was licensed and worked in this field for several years before leaving to get my BA in Art and Fashion Design. I returned to this business about 11 yrs ago and 4yrs ago started my own small salon named Alamo Hair Artistry
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clientele consists mainly of women who are looking for high quality services such as highlighting and Balayage or Hair Extensions
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Look up the stylist on social media to find photos of their work. This is a good way to tell if the stylist is skilled in creating the type of styles or color you desire. Look for client reviews of the stylist so you can see if this stylist would be a good personality fit for you. Look for stylists that enjoy continuing education and who are passionate about learning and keeping up to date on hair trends.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
If possible Clients should have photos of looks they desire. Clients should consider inquiring about daily maintenance and salon upkeep of hair color and styles to see if it will fit their budget and their daily commitment to styling their hair in order to achieve the desired outcome.
