Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I ask what day and time you would need me and if I am available for that day and time I will then ask if you would like to travel to me or if I would be traveling to you. Then we will go into pricing, once pricing is agreed on we will work together to figure out what look you are gravitating toward for your special occasion!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am certified through Boss Beauty Makeup Academy and I am also self taught through online trainings and educational YouTube videos. I have learned so much over the years of doing makeup and I still learn more everyday!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $85-$150 per session depending on the event as well as a travel fee depending on the mileage.
How did you get started in this business?
I started doing makeup on myself for fun and then I fell in love with it! It has definitely turned into my passion and I have so much fun getting lost in my own the creative world. I perfected my craft over the years and I am only getting better and better. As the years went by women started asking me if I charge for my services, so I started practicing on friends and family until I was comfortable and educated enough to take clients. I started taking clients and it's only been up from there! (:
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with all kinds of clients: Models, rappers, singers, brides, male, female, you name it! All types of skin textures and skin tones, I have experience with so many beautiful people!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recently I was a makeup artist for a fashion show! It was so much fun working in a fast pace environment, working on different faces and doing many different looks. Seeing my art being strut down the runway was a beautiful sight to see. I felt so proud of myself and how far I've come in this industry.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to make sure that artist is certified. A lot of at home self taught makeup artists may be great at their craft but they also must be knowledgeable in sanitation and different skin textures. That is VERY important especially with everything going on these days.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What look would you like to be done?
Are you a full glam queen or a more natural dewy queen?
What's your skin like? Normal? Dry? Or Combination?
Do you like dramatic lashes or something cute and flirty?
Whatever you would like, I can and will achieve for you (:
