Fred Gerhart Photography
About
It all started when...
my Dad brought home a medium format folding camera when I was 16. The camera made postcard size prints and Mr. Ebner would load my film on empty spools from bulk, and then develop them after I had exposed them. He would provide a very helpful creative critique and that is how I slowly improved. I also studied the photographs in the paper and with time developed an editorial style as I enjoy when a photograph tells a story.
Photography as a professional did not happen for many years. This thing called life seemed to be more important. However, there were many outings and several rolls of film shot over the years just for my personal enjoyment.
Fast forward to 2008 when I started shooting portraiture and weddings on the weekends and shooting professionally for my employer documenting test apparatus and providing before and after test photographs of components.
In 2012 I became internationally published with one of my test apparatus photographs making the cover of an automotive industry magazine.
I am available for individual and family portraiture, pet portraiture, bridal portraiture, boudoir photography, engagement sessions, editorial photographic documentation of custom cars and motorcycles, real estate photography, and photographic documentation of various items for insurance purposes. I do not do weddings but will gladly refer you to reputable wedding photographers.
I also produce and sell Limited Edition Fine Art. Most of my Limited Edition Fine Art Photographs are limited to five print sales and each print is signed with a Certificate of Authenticity on the back of the print. After the fifth sale, the Fine Art Photograph is removed from sale but may still be used for advertising or competition purposes.
