Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
New clients should have 5 inches of hair all over to be braided. All microlink clients must schedule a consultation prior to their installation. This is so I can examine and see you hair while wet and dry. A hair consultation may be needed to make sure I can grip your hair if your hair is short. All appointments requires a deposit to book the appointment slot. The deposit is non refundable and non transferable so please do not book if you have an event the day of or somewhere to go the same day. I will need your name email and cell number to book. Please visit booking site to book an appointment. An email confirmation and a text message will be forwarded after you are booked. Payments are accepted electronically via Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay and through Cash App. No short hair or newly relaxed hair for passion twists. If your hair is short consider crochet method. For braids you hair has to be longer than 5 inches.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been braiding hair for a little over 20 years.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently was able to help someone out at the last minute. It was an emergency call and she needed my help to style her and get her ready for labor and delivery. I braided her hair in 3 hours! πππΎ
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
You would want someone to care for your actual hair, offer trims, oil your scalp and not just braid your hair. Braids are a protective style but you must also know how to care for your hair while it's in that protective style and have someone give you knowledge on how to care for your hair while rocking braided styles. Not caring for your hair can lead to breakage.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What is their day to day lifestyle ?
how often do you shampoo ?
how often do you straighten your hair ?
Do you have a hair care regimen?
