Visual Instance

Words have always been difficult for me so I often found myself (and still do) alone with my thoughts embracing the safety of solitude. Photography was a natural alternative form of expression for me because of its personal nature. My images reflect that solitude and (I hope) share some of those things I find hard to say.While I occasionally, still, shoot film I currently originate my work using digital full frame, APS-C and medium format systems. My history began exclusively in black and white where I learned traditional dark room techniques and later moved to color imagery as well concentrating on subjects conveying my sense of stillness and singularity. Those techniques not only still hold true as a foundation for photography in the digital age but are extended and enhanced through the flexibility, freedom and capability that technology allows. People came much later to my portfolio as I began to find my voice in the emotions of others that only a camera can profoundly and uniquely capture and express in the absence of words. So goes my story ... I hope that you find something in these pages that touches you and allows you to share in what I see.

I take the time to get to know a client in order to understand their needs and comfort zone. My goal is to capture the most creative version of a requirement and one that clients can connect with emotionally.
