Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I would like to first interview with new clients to understand their photogrpahy needs and expectations. Then I try to learn details about their project so that I can to decide the approach and lighting requirements of the project to reach best posible results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
KASK - Basics of Photography Certificate program
Duke Unviersity - Photography & Lighting Online Certificate program
I have also attended countless of workshops, webinars and trainings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each photogrpahy project requires unique approach so the pricing changes accordingly. I might need to spend full day to get 1 single shot or it can be done in 1 hour. Also travel distance, equipment requirement, and other vendor involvements (such as Make-Up Artists, Hairdresser) can effect the cost of the project.
How did you get started in this business?
I was always into photography, it is still one of my biggest hobby. I'm also professional web designer so it started when one of my clients needed photography for their website. It was almost 20 years ago. Since then I focused working on my photography skills and started working as a photographer.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have mixed client profile including individuals, corporate executives, architects, interior designers and fashion brands.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Nowadays, photography became easier with the high resolution digital cameras and photoshop but the fundementals are the same. Make sure you have choose a professional who knows his trade, and have exceptional attention to details. Photographers became more relaxed since they can alter photos easier with the help of the Photoshop software. But every digital alteration takes something away from the photos. Make sure your photographer is not just a point and shoot photographer, he/she should know the details and principles. And also make sure he/she owns or have access to right equipment (including camera, lenses and light system) for your project
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I always suggest clients to think about the Story and the Location then leave rest to your photographer.
Location is the most important factor which needs to be carefully selected.
Every photogtaph shoulld have a story even though simple portrait shot needs to tell a story to viewer.
