We also do event and portrait photography for our clients when the need arises.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll first ask how they found out about us and start with a telephone conversation about the project.
If referrals and samples are requested we can offer them a list of clients and a link to our web site (A totally new site will be available mid January 2018.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I apprenticed under Edmund Eckstein, Philadelphia & New York commercial photographer for 5 years.
When I relocated to the Washington DC area I began doing architectural photography for the IRIS Group, a brochure company based in California.
Home and Design Magazine, Interior Designers and Builders have been regular clients for the past 30 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All of our pricing is cutomized to our clients projects and budget. We do have published rates that are often discounted for first time clients.
How did you get started in this business?
My mentor, Ed Eckstein, was married to a high school classmate. We got to know each other and he asked if I was interested in helping. I had just returned from 2 years as an Army microbiology instructor and was in thinking of photography as a profession since it was a passion of mine.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We're mainly architectural photographers that work for builders, remodelers, interior designers, architects, high end Realtor properties, etc. We aslo cover events and set up portrait sessions for these clients when requested.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We recently photographed the Perry Belmont House in DC. It's the world headquarters of the Order of The Eastern Star, afilliated with the Freemasons. A grand mansion that will also be used as an event venue.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Experience if the key along with a photographer that has a positve and pleasant attitude that understands the client's needs and knows how to accomplish them photographically.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Know what the photos are to be used for, where they'll appear and what their budget is.
