During my continuously growing career in the world of hair care and hairstyling; I have come to realize and respect all aspects of the hair industry. There are many categories to choose from and master within the world of hair. My number one passion is healthy hair first. Not only do I love continued education in many techniques, but I also understand how imperative it is to realize the benefits of quality equipment and tools along with hair products from shampoo to finishing spray. The difference in not just a client's hair request, but also the importance of a customized finish.
I enjoy consistent practice in perfecting my skill level in beautifying all hair textures, hair cutting with shears and clipper cutting, hair coloring and highlighting, conditioning treatments, hair relaxers, permanent waving, braiding, and weaving extensions. I am grateful for the opportunities I've experienced in many facets of the hair industry and engaging with a multitude of clients from many walks of life. I welcome new opportunities and look forward to expanding my experience.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is preferred to initially schedule a 30 minute consultation to discuss your hair goals and hair concerns. You will receive detailed information on what hair products may work best for your scalp and hair texture; as compared to the products that you are currently using which may or may not be allowing your hair to florish. Additionally, realize what options best suit your lifestyle and ultimately your hair goals.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
REMEMBER, when searching for the hairstylist that is right for you:
🔸️First and foremost, the stylists license should be visible for you to see. Usually our license is posted near our station or on our main mirror.
🔹️If you want a hairstylist that may be sanitary; you should see a glass jar on our station that says "BARBICIDE". Its should be filled with water and the Barbicide turns that water blue. This would mean that the stylist atheist submerges their the combs, clips, and brushes they use on other clients to sterilize these implements. This is so parasites like dandruff, bacteria, viruses, ect. are killed and CAN NOT harm you.
🔸️you not only want to know how long the hairstylist has been doing hair; but how long they have been specializing in the specific service you are requesting. Although a stylist may have 100 years of general experience, does not mean the have ever performed or mastered the service you are requesting.
🔹️discuss with the stylist what are the different types of salons they have worked in and what they learned in each one, all things concerning hair. Remember, Im currently with a client. Will contact you once finished as a hairstylist is different than the traditional employment, therefore a stylist may have been Im currently with a client. Will contact you once finished in the current salon for 3 months yet has 22 years of experience in other locations.
🔸️don't assume the duration of your service. You may be requesting something elaborate that takes exceptional skill and time. Be sure to ask the stylist the estimated duration. Hairstyles and chemical services are not created equal. Clients such as yourself may have more hair than other clients, your hair may take longer to dry than other clients, you may need another application of toner because your hair becomes more brassy than other clients. BY ALL MEANS DO NOT BE IN A HURRY WHEN FOR THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT.
🔹️We all know some hair stylist perform certain services better than others. With that being said, consider the cost of your requested hair services take skill, time and quality products. All of those factors will determine your grand total. How much are you worth as you gain experience when landing that job where you have honed your skills❓
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Understand your health. Your hair can very well be an indication of something going on in your body. The medication you're on my be too strong, the food you eat, lack of water, your body may be deficient in a combination of minerals and vitamins. You primary care doctor may not be as privy to what a Hemotologist can learn about you. If your hair is thinning seriously consider getting your blood examined by a Hemotologist. This is the order in which may be best to pursue your hair concerns.
Hemotologist - your blood can pinpoint your health issues.
Trichologist - someone who specializes specifically in the study of hair.
Dermatologist - someone who specializes specifically in the condition of your scalp/skin
Cosmetologist/Hairstylist - someone who specializes in health hair maintenance and hairstylisting.
Just like with your doctor, mechanic, nail tech, ect. ect. ect., we search for who not only provides the better bedside manner but also the best care in any of this categories.
