First we always have a consultation to see if we are a good fit. I want to make sure we're able to communicate well together. Then we talk technical and come up with a game plan.
I am an Artist for L'Oreal Professionnel, which means I am an educator and travel to salons to teach stylists color, styling and trend classes.
I have a starting range for pricing, which can change depending on length density and integrity of the hair.
I have always been in to beauty. Hair, makeup, and styling have always been a passion of mine from a young age.
I have a pretty broad range of clients. I have more conservative clients and I have more extreme clients. I find it is good to be open to different needs and wants so I can always grow as a stylist.
I would tell them to ask lots of questions. Sometimes it does take a few appointments to get it right, but also know that not everyones personalities mesh and it is okay to keep looking until you find what you're looking for.
What do they want? What do they expect? What is their budget? How often do you want to be in the salon? Are you willing to allow the stylist creative freedom or are you set on what you want? That being said, are you open to the process.
