Meg Bassett Designs
I am an independent hair stylist and makeup artist devoted to pushing the limits of beauty. I believe there are many definitions of beauty and in every person is an opportunity to discover and learn something new and to find in yourself things you never thought possible. My ambition is to find what makes each person uniquely beautiful and to help them discover beauty when they can't see it themselves. My goal is to impose limitless beauty. I have been in the industry for 9 years and in that time my career has changed and evolved, the most consistent theme being that I love to learn. I am all about expanding my knowledge base and trying new things because in this industry, things are constantly changing. I have been an apprentice, I have worked in salons in New York and Seattle, I have been a business owner, a makeup artist, and I have become an artist educator for the worlds elite color brand, L’Oreal Professionnel.
My passion behind the chair is color. On any given day you can find me doing balayage, vivid color, color correction, multi dimensional color, and the list continues. I also cut hair and I have a rather large thick hair clientele. I spend the extra time perfecting your look so that it is something you have never seen before. I offer hair enhancements with Hairdreams, Art of Hair. Enhancements include >6 month bonded extensions and 6 week nano extensions. Nano option is also available in vivid colors. Hairdreams can be customized to match your curl pattern. Hairdreams offers length, volume, color matching and fullness to transform whatever look you desire. I offer makeup services for weddings and special events and I also offer costume makeup for events such as festivals and Halloween.
I am very excited to share my passion with you and to give you an experience you have never had. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment!
Thank you for visiting my page and for all of your continued support! Megan

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we always have a consultation to see if we are a good fit. I want to make sure we're able to communicate well together. Then we talk technical and come up with a game plan.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am an Artist for L'Oreal Professionnel, which means I am an educator and travel to salons to teach stylists color, styling and trend classes.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
I have a starting range for pricing, which can change depending on length density and integrity of the hair.
How did you get started in this business?
I have always been in to beauty. Hair, makeup, and styling have always been a passion of mine from a young age.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have a pretty broad range of clients. I have more conservative clients and I have more extreme clients. I find it is good to be open to different needs and wants so I can always grow as a stylist.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
I would tell them to ask lots of questions. Sometimes it does take a few appointments to get it right, but also know that not everyones personalities mesh and it is okay to keep looking until you find what you're looking for.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
What do they want? What do they expect? What is their budget? How often do you want to be in the salon? Are you willing to allow the stylist creative freedom or are you set on what you want? That being said, are you open to the process.
