I absolutely LOVE the reaction when families view their photos! Attending different events, getting to know the players, and being a student of the game allows me to capture the story.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Thanks for contacting STK Photography. I'm excited to work with you and capture terrific action photos of your athlete. Please call me at 253.227.3235 to schedule an appointment. Or, take a look at https://stkphotography.zenfolio.com/ to look through my portfolio and complete the contact page. I will call you right away to schedule. I'm looking forward to being "focused" on your event!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started as a Dad on the sideline taking pictures of my children's lacrosse and other sports. I was asked to be the team photographer, and the response was awesome. Parents and players LOVED the photos (I was actually told that my pictures were 'filthy'. I had to ask my daughter what that meant: it means aawesome :-) and STK Photography was started. Years later, I now own the very best in Canon equipment to capture amazing action/wildlife/event photos.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Each booking is $80 per athlete and includes one free digital download. Additional athletes at the same event reduce the cost. No more than five subjects per shooting. I only take photos of the athletes that have booked with me. That way, I am 100% committed to getting the best images of your athlete in action.
How did you get started in this business?
Please see above.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with youth through adult athletes. From 3/4 lacrosse to adult men's championship games. In between, I've captured images of boys and girls events, MCLA and Division I programs, and everything in between. My love is youth sports, especially players in elementary and middle school. The passion and excitement is there and so much fun to capture their expressions.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently completed photographing a men's lacrosse championship. I had so many players come up after and compliment the pictures. One player even told me that he never had any photos of him playing and was almost in tears at the images of him playing. A grown man! That's the awesome thing about photography, capturing the passion of the player and event.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Book early! My schedule fills up awfully fast so plan ahead. If you can coordinate with three to four other families, your price is lower, too.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
A cell phone is a great tool for capturing daily events, but just doesn't have the reach and clarity of today's cameras. I have invested a great deal of time and money to have the best gear. This provides tack-sharp images that you'll value forever. Invest in life long memories, hire a professional photographer!
