About
I have been photographing people for more than 20 years. Whether you desire a personal portrait or professional headshot, you can trust that I will give your images the specialized care and attention they deserve. My experience allows me to capture the moment creatively or guide you to achieving the perfect look. I have a unique way of putting my clients at ease, not matter how timid or uncomfortable they are in front of the camera lens.

Getting to meet so many different people and learn a little bit about them! Creating images that I know will grow in value over time. Seeing someone unfold in front of - and even forget about - the camera.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I offer a pre consultation to ask and answer questions to determine the type of photo shoot they want and need. We also go over how to prepare and what to wear for the session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an Associates Degree in Photography, and a Bacherlor of Fine Arts. I began my career as a photojournalist, then worked in commercial photography where I learned in depth lighting for studio and location. I've been a longtime freelance photographer and photographed weddings for ten years. I continue to train with mentors and workshops. I've had my own studio for over five years and specialize in professional portraits for business and personal use. I can quickly relax and guide my clients in front of the camera to create authentic portraits they love!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Headshots start at $195, and most other sessions start at $495 including digital image gallery.
How did you get started in this business?
Traveling! I took a couple of gap years between high shcool and college and it was a way to record my adventures. (This was long before cell phones and digital, too!)
I've always been drawn to portraits and people and showing the natural beauty everyone has when they are relaxed and being their true self.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Honestly - all types! From infants and preschoolers to CEO's - even the POTUS and FLOTUS - not the current one, though.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I adore summer evening sessions! Honestly, my last client is often my favorite.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
There a lots of choices, you should choose based on work you love then take time to have a conversation and see if you click! No pun intended, lol
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
You can think about your expectations...but, as a pro I take the time before being hired to make sure I'm the right photographer for you and help you discover what your true photographic needs are.
