About

Every image captured tells a story – documenting a split-second moment of victory, adoration, or joy.

creating an honest connection between a brand and an audience, or imagining a better future for the

the a

world that holds them.

For Rene Vidal, the story is central to the creation of a powerful image, or film and

it’s his intention that every work is crafted with integrity and care.

Raised in bustling Lima, Peru, Rene felt a synergy with the buzzing spirit of his city. He connected deeply

with the events of his youth and the vivid imagery it imprinted on him, replaying as still and moving

pictures in his mind. These events paired with his interest in humanity, history, and the world led him on

a journey of exploration, education, and service both in Peru and the United States.

After studying law and serving his country, he moved to the United States to pursue the promises of

greater opportunity and self-determination. In the United States, he served in the Active Duty military,

established a family, and continued his education. Transitioning to civilian life allowed Rene to feed a

new passion and pursue further education in the area of photography and media.

Partnering with international news sports news organizations and Major League Soccer sparked a new

light. Documenting the drive, focus, commitment, talent, and stories of individuals and teams allowed

Rene to build his craft. Attendance at the Los Angeles Film Institute allowed him to refine it.

Through Alpamayo Productions, Rene looks to continue telling stories through photography and

filmmaking. Thoughtful, well-executed media allows us to forget the camera and connect to the stories

that surround us – connections that make us stronger, more vibrant, and more alive. Rene Vidal’s

intention is to elevate the subjects and stories of his work to articulate their truth, beauty, and

authenticity.

    Frequently asked questions

    Family Photo Drill Sergeant

I always tell my couples that family photos are photos that everyone wants, but no one wants to do. I am very aware how important family photos are and I have received many emails from former brides saying how the picture I took of their grandma was the last good photo of her however wrangling all of those family members in and out of photos can take some time and patience. When I do family photos at a wedding most times I don’t know who Uncle Bob is versus Uncle Mark. I always recommend having one family member per side that can help with yelling out family names of who’s supposed to be in the next photo. YOU’RE UP UNCLE BOB! So pick a family member that knows everyone in the family and can help direct people.
