I have been in the cosmetology field for 17 years, and I am still loving it. Hair design is an always changing industry. There are always new and exciting trends to keep your look on the edge. New techniques and products are always coming out to keep things interesting.

I started my career at Phagan's School of Cosmetology. Phagan's was a great place to learn the basics of hair design.

After graduation my first job was at a salon that was focused on educating their stylists. There I studied the structure, movement and function of hair. I furthered my career by becoming a salon manager. Then later became a regional manager and educator. As a manager I was able schedule classes with Nioxin, Chi, Pureology, Redken, Jioco and Crew. The highlight of my education was being sent to The Artistic Institute at the Zotos International headquarters in Darien, CT. This is Jioco's Education center for professionals. Jioco taught me hair must be healthy first, then it can be colored to be beautiful. I truly believe this.

A few years ago I took the plunge and started my own business. I now rent a space at Envee Salon in Hazel Dell, Washington. Here I work with a great bunch of people.

I've kept my education up to date, by taking classes whenever I can. I also understand that using the best tools to do the job is a must. I only use the best equipment, products and color line for my clients.
