What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Send Email with brief description of your project / event or media, approx. budget and timeline.
2. Phone Interview and / or live meeting.
3. Schedule and sign contract. 50% non refundable deposit.(in certain cases a deposit can be returned)
4. Schedule event and follow production directives.
5. Allow up to 10 days for editing
6. Review and deliver project. Bal due on completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied film / music and broadcast at UCLA, worked for 23 years in the music industry and migrated into film and video in 1983. Five documentaries, music video's and have worked with a very diverse group of clients from Century 21 to the State of West Virginia. Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
The only standard rate that we have is a flat fee of $2,500.00 for a "Turn Key" 30 sec. commercial. All other projects are based on the elements, time and talent needed to accomplish your goals.
How did you get started in this business?
I started as a child actor in the late 60's.
What types of customers have you worked with?
Govenors to Grunge Rockers, Weddings to Western Line Dancing....I do NOT and will not do any type of XXX material.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We shot a commercial for Century 21 Home in San Luis Obispo, CA. Amazing day.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
1. Get references
2. Get competing bids
3. Understand the creative nature of your project
4. Be sure you have a solid budget.
5. Know your end goal.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask about production experience, timelines, technical and talent issues.
