About
I am Emma, a native of Southern California, and I enjoy the moments I capture as a Destination-Portrait Photographer and Owner of The Candid Camellia! 😊
Life is all about the unexpected, and we experience beautiful moments in a series of events; since COVID entered our worlds, it's honestly deepened the bond between family, and it's a beautiful connection to cherish moments now and capture candid Portraits that are connecting and later become moments of gorgeous splendor, reminiscent pieces of memories as art.
I would love to capture those moments in candid beauty for you.
My love for traveling comes in handy - having location recommendations available upon request for gorgeous Portraits captured to connect with family and the outdoors of Mother Earth.
Since I was young, candid moments have been as natural as breathing. When I was a child, I began my photography journey with candid photos captured on Yashica film and an RCA VHS Camcorder recording precious moments. Later in 2013, I learned and became adept at using 35mm Film while navigating Digital and Studio Lighting Photography.
Since then, I have created my own business, capturing high-quality photographs with a magical essence embedded into pixelated memories.
Available are customizable and preset Photography Packages.
My excitation is building to capture candid moments that endure longer than a lifetime. I look forward to your message in continuing the next steps of making your Portraits a reality.
Love always transcends.
All my best to you and yours,
Emma C.

Especially for Weddings, in one of my Wedding Packages, I offer Mindful Breathing techniques to guide the Bride, Groom or family and friends how to grow through moments we go through.
Seeing a Bride breathe through her stress and monumentous tears for a beautiful day is where seeds of joy are planted.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer to work with my clients in a personal manner via phone or through Webcam so we can break down barriers and really understand what they are in search of.
Communication via messages is fine, however I prefer the latter, also depending on how my client feels with the communication process.
Once I understand the details, I start formulating a process to make the session come true!
When a client is unsure of outdoor locations, I always have a library of Locations to offer depending on the client's preferred naturescape background.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Antelope Valley College for my Photography skills and WOW, did my taste for pixelated art, GROW expontentially!
I learned how to dabble with 35mm Color, Black and White Film especially in the Dark Room where developing art, starts in pitch black, darkness. From there, I grew into Photojournalism Composition, Digital - Beginning and Advanced, and finally, Studio Lighting.
The culmination of those courses allowed me to find myself through my style.
