Frequently asked questions

When working with new customers I take time to talk with them and obtain a clear understanding of their desires and expectations. It is important to establish a rapport so the customer feels comfortable in front of the camera and has confidence that the images will be of top quality and a source of pride for them to use.

Starting out I took classes on creative photography and post processing. I keep myself current on new technology and trends as they evolve in the industry. I follow numerous professional photographers in social media to maintain a keen awareness of the latest happenings and developments in the industry.

I believe each job offers its own unique set of circumstances so they are priced individually. After a conversation where I gain a full understanding of your expectations, I will provide pricing on different packages and services I offer to meet your requirements. Typically expect to have theee options and price points from which to chose so you can easily pick which fits your budget best.

I first got interested in photography because of my mother and father. My mother had always been an avid amateur photographer and my father worked in a photo lab so I have always been around it my whole life.

I would advise talking to them and find out what they will provide for you photographically. You should feel like your ideas and input are important and valued by the photographer. Look for a photographer who will enhance your style and ideas.

First, ask yourself what is my budget for this project and is it a realistic budget that will yield the results I expect. Keep in mind cheap isn't quality and quality isn't cheap. Don't let a few dollars stand between you and truly amazing results. When hiring a photographer you are not only getting his time during the shoot, you are also getting his time that he spends in post production touching up the images to ensure they are of the highest quality so you will be proud of your investment. Second ask to see samples of previous work and see if it fits with your ideas. Third, ask about timelines. When can the shoot take place, how long should it take and when should you be able to see proofs or the finished product. Last, what is the expected pay schedule for the project? Typically it's 50% upfront to book the appointment and the balance due upon delivery of the final product.
