About this pro

Hi, my name is Duncan. I am a commercial photographer, filmmaker, and visual storyteller. The secret to my success is listening to my clients.

I provide effective solutions to suit your needs using a variety of multimedia tools. Camera's, audio equipment, essential software, and 20 years of experience make me a worry-free and easy choice for your project.

I attended Massachusetts College of Art from 1995 to 1999, studying fine art photography, media, and performance.

I love to find the story in each job. Wether it's headshots, events, videos, or interiors/exteriors, I create slick, nuanced, and professional pieces to bring you to the next level.

I love photography, pure and simple.

I love teaching photography to others, showing how I see the world, the mechanics of it, the physics of it, devoping film in the old style, using computers in the new style, using different lights for different situations, looking at other photographer's work, talking about pictures, the whole thing.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

First and foremost, we have a conversation and I listen. Depending on the project, I may create an estimate or give a flat rate. From there, we can move forward with choosing a shoot date, a deliverables date, and a payment date.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Photography and Media from Massachusetts College of Art & Design.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

It depends on the shoot and what is to be delivered.

How did you get started in this business?

I have a passion for photography and video. I made a music documentary that came out in 2016. I started making pictures of real estate properties in 2014 and grew from there to provide head shot, event, and video services.

What types of customers have you worked with?

Clients Include: The Boston Red Sox, J.Jill, Whole Foods, Aqua Leisure, Bay State Tickets & Travel, The Middle East Cafe, Boston College, Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Harvard University, Coldwell Banker, Century 21 Cityside, Blue Monarch Skincare, BNI Financial District, and The Algonquin Club.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

The re-uniting of a band due to the release of my documentary about them.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

See their work and have a conversation with them to know if you like working with them.

What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?

Ask them how long they've been shooting.
