I am a "jack of all trades" photographer, specializing in individual and family portraits. My new interest is boudoir and something I may be doing exclusively in the near future. I currently offer a wide variety of services and I am always on social media to help promote business, book appointments, post photos, and offer specials. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Get to know them, their style, what poses they want and make sure to deliver and exceed their expectations.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm self-taught! Learning from other photographers, tips and tricks from online and by trial and error. I am a perfectionist and have an eye for detail.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Most sessions are between $100-$150 and are 1 hour long. Most of my sessions are shot outdoors.
How did you get started in this business?
My mother was friends with a photographer and after I saw her work, I was inspired. I've been photographing anything and everhthing since middle school. My life-long goal, since I was in elementary school, is to be a National Geographic Photographer. If that doesn't work out, I'll be working on opening my own indoor studio in the future.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with everyone! Kids, small and large families, boudoir, pets, and clients of all shapes, sizes and skin tones.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
Ask what the photographer offers. If you don't see something in their list of services that you are needing, ask them anyway! They may be able to help you with your photo needs.
