Hi there. I’m Ryan and it’s my business to make you and your team look great.
I have been doing this a while, owning and operating Fenix Fotography since 2006, but I have been making photographic images since the age of 16, upon the discovery that a camera could break the ice with girls I was otherwise scared to talk to.
Professional work started with lifestyle magazines, creating fashion editorials and other types of stories before transitioning to business periodicals where I created hundreds of photographic essays featuring Charlotte business, civic, and cultural leaders. My speciality area is on-location studio and environmental executive portraits, business-in-action photojournalism, aviation images for brokers, and architecture.
Clients who've trusted us with their important imagery include American Airlines, Deloitte, TIAA, Met Life, Dixon Hughes Goodman, Playboy, MTV, HBO, Sailor Jerry, the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, and a collection of large banks you’ve surely heard of — Bank of America, Wells Fargo, and Ally Bank. Not that you need to be a Fortune 500 Company, Fenix Fotography also counts numerous local developers, medical practices, law firms and all manner of small businesses as valued customers.
My images have been featured in Forbes and Muscle & Fitness Magazines, as well as numerous local print publications. I've even won some fancy-sounding awards and generous arts grants for fashion and fine-art work.
Why hire me?
Simple: I specialize in making you look better than your competitor by providing high-quality images that attract, multiply, and retain clients by making superior first impressions. And the photos are done right the first time.
We'll also make you look good in front of your boss. Afterall, nothing is more embarrassing and costly than accidentally hiring cheap and unreliable vendors whose images end up being lackluster, charge extra to fix their own mistakes, or require repeat sessions due to their own professional errors.
The team arrives with a full studio set-up, not the ineffective portable flash equipment of amateurs and work to provide a comfortable environment that encourages your team’s personalities to emerge through the lens. I also offer the conveniences of onsite image choice, file management and optimization, and (when needed) additional photographers and on-site studios as a solution for photographing large groups quickly and efficiently without sacrificing quality.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, we discuss the project and I quote it. We shoot in my studio or on location at the client's offices or other location. If we are indoors, I shoot with a full studio set up, even on location). Sitters choose their photographs at the time of their session and we deliver the finished retouched products typically 1-3 business days later.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
