What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to have a face to face meeting and discuss the requirements for the session. This meeting sets expectations for the shoot and allows the client to review the session contract and fees. A schedule is made for the session as soon as that day or within everyones schedule. The typical session can range from as little as 40 minutes to all day depending on the need. After the session Image proofs are supplied via a link for the customers review within 2 business days. Prints and packages are availble for immedite ordering from the website.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attendend a local college for photographic studies, CPCC. I had Ms. Massenberg as an art teacher in school that mentored me and helped me to see the relationship of how light makes all things possible. I have continued my studies with many great photographers from the area, Gary Obrien, Bob Welsch and Herman Nicholson. I appreciate the way each of these gentlemen have shared there experience and techniques with me over the years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
Our pricing is setup as a session fee for the specific service and prints are packaged during your album viewing.
How did you get started in this business?
I began shooting in 1994 and burnout tring to keep up in the NASCAR world. I put the camera down and picked it up when I began traveling in 2005 and started shooting again.
What types of customers have you worked with?
My clients range from large corporate clients to small business owners and families that want to capture those precious moments in their life.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I enjoy music and admire talented musicians. I try to attend music festivals like the Blowing Rock Music Festival or set in on small venues like Shelby Rea Moore (a great artist by the way!).
What advice would you give a customers looking to hire a vendor in your area of expertise?
Make sure you can build a raport with your photographer. The relationship can go fo a lifetime.
What questions should customers think through before talking to vendors about their needs?
What do I want to accomplish with these images? gifts, family documentation, etc.
