We are a family owned, full service, soft serve ice cream caterer. We have been in the ice cream business for 30+ years combined. In 2016 we decided to branch out and become the areas first soft serve caterers. We come to your venue and, essentially, set up an ice cream shop for your guests. We offer multiple packages depending on the event. We offer cones, sundae bars, malts/shakes, candy mix ins, and packages that include all of the above. We also offer novelties! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Between my business partner and I, we have a combined total of 32 years of experience in the soft serve ice cream business
How did you get started in this business?
I started working for a local ice cream shop when I was 14. Moved up the chain as years went by. My business partner also worked for the same shop in high school. He went off and did other jobs after. In the mean time I became general manager of a couple locations. The time came where the owners wanted to sell and I got together with my now business partner and we bought both locations. Now we have 2 ice cream shops and Simply Sweet Ice Cream Catering.
What types of customers have you worked with?
We have done birthday parties, sorority parties, big university parties, tons of corporate events for big name companies, and lots of weddings!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We were recently hired on as a preferred caterer for a Huge insurance corporation and they have us come out multiple times a year to do sundaes and shakes for their employees. The looks on adults’ faces when they see ice cream is no different than kids and we love it!
