Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to spend some time getting to know the customer and/or the business. At that point I can cater my budget and scope to meet their needs and create content that will best communicate what they need.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Advertising from WSU
9 Years of industry experience
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All my pricing is on a per-project basis
How did you get started in this business?
After graduating in 2008, not many jobs were available so I spent some time as an intern and then as an assistant editor on a documentary film. That experience was what allowed me to get my first job in the field and ultimately start my own business.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I've worked with just about every kind of business you can imagine. From Kickstarter projects for people with an idea that they hope will resaonte with their community, to huge multinational corporations, large and small scale manufacturing, and travel companies sending students to every continent.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently got to do a series of product shots with a unique kind of macro lens. The footage is unlike anything else out there.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Not everyone needs super high quality cinematic content for their brand. There's a huge range between shooting with a smartphone and a full crew. I can do both, but I don't do the same thing for every client because their needs are all unique.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I tend to ask lots of questions, but the first things I need to know are what's the budget and what are you trying to say.
