Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After determining the appropriate session type and length, I then work with the customer to determine an ideal location for the session, whether that be in an outdoor setting, or even at my studio. All of my sessions are straightforward, and I do my best to accommodate all customer requests.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.
All pricing information is detailed on my website at https://katphotographer.com/pricing.
How did you get started in this business?
I've always had a deep love of photography, for as long as I can remember. It only seemed natural to turn my passion for pictures into a business, and Kat Photography was born. I always excitedly look forward to every photo session, and delight in tirelessly editing my customer's photos to create lasting memories.
What types of customers have you worked with?
I often work with families, but have held numerous special event session as well, such as prom photos, sunflower sessions, senior photos, and even engagements sessions. See my portfolio at https://katphotographer.com/f815910519 for more examples of my work.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My recent sunflower sessions were a great test of my versatility and range as a photographer. With a large number of sessions lined up back-to-back with varying types of customers (families, couples, kids) I was able to quickly explore new perspectives, all with a beautiful backdrop of bright yellow sunflowers.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?
Take some time to not only talk with a potential photographer to see if they are a proper fit for you, but pay careful attention to their portfolio (scope, detail, variety) as well as the words of their previous customers.
What questions should customers think through before talking to pros about their needs?
I don't expect my customers to do much work of their own. Just come with a general idea of what types of memories you'd like to preserve, and I'll be able to paint a picture from that (so to speak).
