    Chef Chris prepared a beautiful Seared Salmon w/ brown sugar glaze topped with a cucumber relish! Very delicious! He served it with some light creamy gratin potatoes and roasted squash! 👍 He also came to Orlando during Super Bowl weekend and prepared it again with some wilted spinach and tangy carrots! Amazing! I am a fan of his YouTube 📺 channel also!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I will typically  start with a review of thier request! I then contact the potential  client, thus this let's them know your really interested! Once I receive a response back , I will recommend  some menu items or I will design a menu based on your budget and needs!After this the client has time to review  and we can have phone contact! The chef and client must have a clear line of communication and understanding!


What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Who is Urban Chef or Executive Chef, Chris Kaigler?
With over 27 years in culinary arts, Chef Chris leaves his distinctive mark in every dish he creates. He is a highly respected and accomplished chef with  a diversity of cuisines and international food preparation styles.
Chef Chris is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy and also attended  San Diego  Mesa College excelling in their culinary program. He later became apprentice at The Doubletree Hotel in Southern  California.This is were he joined the AMERICAN  CULINARY  FEDERATION (ACF) .The URBAN CHEF brings years of Southern California experience.  He specializes in making amazing food for large groups, catering for 500-2500 guests. He has participated in and was responsible for press and media events during National Conventions, Super Bowls, Grammys and Red Carpet Events.
Chef Chris is a proponent of using fresh foods and being careful in times of COVID-19.   He has mastered the use of spices and seasonings to bring out the flavor in food, which is the key to his culinary masterpieces.   He has produced outstanding weddings and superb social events.
Chef Chris has an appetite for adventure, curiosity and a will to learn from the best.  Chef Chris has worked his way up  with his enthusiasm and love for cooking in some of San Diego's and Metro Detroit's finest food and catering establishments.


Do you have a standard pricing system for your services? If so, please share the details here.

My prices are based on a few different things.Prices may be based on a per person with a minimum amount of people!  Food trays(cheese, vegetables, fruit, etc. are based on a set price.Certain individual salads the prices vary. Buffets, family style and plated events the prices varies! The URBAN CHEF🤪  is more than willing to accommodate  your needs!

THE URBAN CHEF  has worked with numerous professional musicians,  Athletes including (NBA, NF L ,NASCAR  and BASEBALL!  C hef Chris was traveled throughout  the national , working on major political, sporting, movie sets, entertainment  productions, fairs and  conventions. Note that having so much experience , bring great value  to the customer! 


What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a pro in your area of expertise?

Talk to them on the phone!  Get a real feel for who your going to be dealing with! Set up a tasting so you can see and taste! Pictures 📸 are great for looks but it tells nothing about the taste!🍽 Tasting are not usually free but the chef can prepare a few items for you!

Customers  should have an ideal of what they want or a general range!
