I decided to get ordained because when we were looking for someone to marry my son, we got a lot of negative responses and additional charges simply because he is gay. I couldn’t stand seeing my son so hurt so I surprised him and got my license in order to marry him to the love of his life. I was honored by not only marrying him but also making his wedding cake. I take joy in the simply things in life and seeing the happiness that flowed from this amazing celebration was amazing. I don’t care if you’re straight or gay…if you love someone, there is no reason to be over charged to get married.
