Manny’s Uptown restaurant was founded by Manuel “Manny” Rios in 2005. Manny is a retired army veteran. He started his interest in the restaurant business with his sister as a server. Manny was inspired by his chef father Charlie Rios. Hi! Although some of you may know me as Chef JP, my name is Jai Payne. I'm a self-taught South Louisianan Cajun cook. I relocated to Dallas, TX in 2013. I've been cooking for eight years, but only in the past year and a half have I turned professional. I am 27 years of age. I can prepare anything you want for, but I specialize in Cajun cuisine. I used the barter system in college, I'd exchange services for home-cooked meals. Once I become aware of how great my meal actually tastes.
